Diesel Engine Repair & Rebuild

Cummins. CAT. John Deere.Diagnosed, not guessed.

When an engine's in question, the money question is next. We don't guess — repairs are based on OEM-level diagnostics, with John Deere, Caterpillar and Cummins as named specialties and other major truck engines as secondary capability. Fault confirmed before any teardown is quoted; your estimate inside 24 hours of diagnosis, locked once you approve.

What Mach 6 handles

The problems you bring us

Diesel Engine Diagnostics

“Down on power, up on fuel.”

Low-power, derate, overheat and oil-consumption complaints get run to root cause — scan first, fault confirmed, then the repair path. No teardown gets quoted on a guess.

In-Frame Engine Overhaul

“How bad is it, really?”

When the block can stay in the truck: liners, pistons, bearings, head and valvetrain work done in-frame. You get the findings and the evidence before you commit to the depth of the job.

Out-of-Frame Engine Rebuild

“Past the point of patching.”

Full out-of-frame rebuild in a dedicated engine bay, with 20-tonne overhead cranes to pull and set the engine in-house. Disassembled, measured, built back to spec, tested under load — and documented, which matters at resale.

Engine Repair vs Rebuild

“Fix it or rebuild it?”

A repair addresses the specific failure; a rebuild resets the engine's life. The diagnosis decides which one your truck actually needs — and we show you the evidence either way, so it's your call with real information.

PAI Engine Parts — Distributor Direct

“The engine's apart and the parts are a week out.”

Mach 6 is a PAI engine parts distributor — the engine work and the engine parts don't wait on each other. OEM and premium aftermarket sourced where the application calls for it.

Cooling, Fuel & Air Systems

“It overheats, but only loaded.”

Cooling, lubrication, air and fuel system diagnosis and repair — the systems around the engine kill as many of them as the iron inside does.

In-frame or out-of-frame

The depth of the job is a diagnosis, not a guess. When the block can stay in the truck, in-frame work — liners, pistons, bearings, head and valvetrain — gets it done without the added time and cost of a full pull. When it can't, the out-of-frame rebuild happens in a dedicated engine bay with 20-tonne overhead cranes to pull and set the engine in-house — disassembled, measured, built back to spec, and tested under load before it goes back to work.

The commitments in writing

Two promises. Both in writing.

The Downtime Promise

Inspection results within 48 hours of your scheduled booking — guaranteed. A comprehensive estimate within 24 hours of diagnostic completion. Worst case, that's 72 hours from drop-off to a number you can act on — and you'll hear from us before then, not after. Every unit leaves with a condition report and a digital vehicle inspection you can make decisions from. No surprises. No delays. Just results.

The Estimate Lock

Serial estimating — approve one number, then watch it grow — is one of the top three issues for fleets in this industry. Our Estimate Accuracy & Approval Policy ends it: once approved, your estimate is locked on price and scope. Changing a locked estimate takes manager approval — and nothing changes without yours.

How the process works

Four steps, same order, every time

Same sequence whether it's one unit or a fleet program — that's what makes the 48-hour and 24-hour commitments something we can actually hold.

  1. Tell us what's down

Unit, symptom, how urgent — and what the engine's been doing lately.

  2. Diagnose before we quote

Scan, inspection, photos of what we find. No teardown quoted on a hunch.

  3. Your number, inside 24 hours

Repair path and rebuild path priced honestly. Approved means locked — changes take manager approval.

  4. Tested under load, on the record

The work, the load test, and a digital record that follows the truck.

Every job leaves here with a record: what was inspected, what was found, what was approved and what was done. That record is what turns a repair into a maintenance history you can plan against.

FAQs

Questions fleets ask us

What's the difference between repairing and rebuilding?

A repair fixes the failure in front of us. A rebuild is complete disassembly, cleaning, measurement and replacement of worn parts to spec. The diagnosis — not the invoice — decides which one the engine needs.

Where do the parts come from?

PAI components direct, as a distributor. OEM and premium aftermarket where the application fits better — and we'll tell you which we're quoting.

Don't take the website's word for it

Ask to see the paper. A real condition report and a locked estimate — before you commit the unit.
