Heavy-Duty Electrical Diagnostics — Edmonton

It only does it cold, loaded, or 300 km out.

Starting and charging through to module communication and the harness fault that clears by noon. Intermittents get reproduced under load, confirmed twice, and fixed once — and you get the list of what was ruled out either way.

Edmonton facility — scan tooling and the bay time to reproduce a fault

Proof of capability

Capability you can check before you commit

Dedicated diagnostic technicians and the scan tooling to work with live data across highway tractors and vocational trucks — the difference between reading a code and confirming a fault, which is the difference between one repair and three. Authorized CVIP inspection station and Sennebogen's authorized service provider, working out of a 40,000 sq. ft. Edmonton facility. And the part that actually finds intermittents: the bay time to reproduce a fault under the conditions it happens in, rather than the conditions that are convenient.

What Mach 6 handles

The faults you bring us

Heavy Truck No-Start & Charging Diagnosis

“It cranks fine at the shop and dies in the yard.”

Starting and charging tested under load, not at rest. A battery that passes a static test and fails at 600 amps is the most commonly replaced part that was never the problem. Batteries, cables, grounds, alternator output and draw all get measured before anything gets ordered.

Parasitic Draw & Dead-Battery Diagnosis

“It sits three days and it's dead.”

Parasitic draw traced circuit by circuit rather than by replacing batteries and hoping. Aftermarket installs — inverters, beacons, telematics, auxiliary heaters — are the usual culprits, and they are also the ones nobody documents. You get the circuit named, not a new battery and the same phone call in a month.

Wiring Harness & Connector Fault Tracing

“The lights work until it's minus thirty.”

Harness and connector fault tracing, including the corrosion and chafe points that pass every warm-shop test. We reproduce the conditions before we replace anything — cold, loaded, vibrating — because a fault you cannot reproduce is a fault you cannot confirm you fixed.

Module Communication & No-Comm Diagnosis

“The scan tool won't talk to it.”

Network and module communication faults, including no-comm conditions. Bus, power, ground and module all get eliminated in order. Diagnosis, module and sensor replacement and the software work that goes with it are part of the job — tell us the unit and the fault code and we'll confirm scope before you book.

Sensor & Actuator Diagnosis Against Live Data

“It's thrown the same code three times and three parts.”

Sensors and actuators diagnosed against live data, so the question is whether the reading is wrong or the sensor is. This is where serial parts-swapping ends: a code names a circuit, not a component, and the difference is the whole repair. Faults tied to the aftertreatment system run through DPF & Emissions.

Lighting, Accessory & Aftermarket Install Faults

“It started after the last install.”

Lighting, accessory and aftermarket install faults. Added equipment that shares a ground or taps the wrong circuit will cause faults that look like they belong to the truck. We find it, fix it, and document it so the next shop is not chasing the same ghost.

The real product on this page

You're buying a documented search

Diagnostic time is billed and itemized like any other labour, and here is what it buys. We agree an authorized block of diagnostic hours before we start. If the fault is found inside it, you get the cause, the repair and a locked estimate. If it is not, you get a call before another hour goes on — plus the written record of every circuit, component and condition already tested and ruled out. That record travels with the unit. It is the reason the second visit does not start from zero.

The commitments in writing

Two promises. Both in writing.

The Downtime Promise

Inspection results within 48 hours of your scheduled booking — guaranteed. A comprehensive estimate within 24 hours of diagnostic completion. Worst case, that's 72 hours from drop-off to a number you can act on — and you'll hear from us before then, not after. Every unit leaves with a condition report and a digital vehicle inspection you can make decisions from. No surprises. No delays. Just results.

The Estimate Lock

Serial estimating — approve one number, then watch it grow — is one of the top three issues for fleets in this industry. Our Estimate Accuracy & Approval Policy ends it: once approved, your estimate is locked on price and scope. Changing a locked estimate takes manager approval — and nothing changes without yours.

How the process works

Four steps, same order, every time

Same sequence whether it's one unit or a fleet program — that's what makes the 48-hour and 24-hour commitments something we can actually hold.

  1. Tell us what it's doing and when

Unit, fault code if you have one, and the conditions it happens under: cold, loaded, at speed, after sitting. That last detail is worth an hour of bay time.

  2. We reproduce before we replace

Diagnostics and inspection first, with photos and live data of what we find. You approve from evidence, not from a phone description.

  3. Your number, inside 24 hours

Parts and labour split out, diagnostic time itemized separately. Approved means locked — changes take manager approval, and nothing changes without yours.

  4. Back on the road, on the record

Repaired, retested under the conditions the fault showed up in, and filed to the unit's digital history — including what was ruled out.

Every job leaves here with a record: what was inspected, what was found, what was approved and what was done. That record is what turns a repair into a maintenance history you can plan against.

FAQs

Questions fleets ask us

Another shop couldn't find it. Will you?

That's most of what this page is for. We charge for diagnostic time and we document what we ruled out, so you're not paying twice for the same guess.

How long does a diagnosis take?

Honestly, it depends on whether the fault will show itself. A hard fault with a stored code is often inside an hour; a genuine intermittent takes as long as it takes to reproduce. That's why we agree an authorized block of hours up front and call you before it goes past it — rather than quoting a number we'd have to walk back.

Do you do module programming?

Diagnosis, module and sensor replacement and the software work that goes with it are part of the job. Tell us the unit and the fault code and we'll confirm scope before you book.

Don't take the website's word for it

Ask to see the paper. A real diagnostic summary — including what was tested and ruled out — and a locked estimate, before you commit the truck.
